Iranian national heroine passes away from corona

Dedicated Iranian teacher who used to teach an Afghan girl in the park because her student had no smartphone passed away from coronavirus.

The female teacher named Farnaz Aqeli whose recount of commitment to teaching an Afghan girl in the park had gone viral passed away due to the coronavirus.  

The self-sacrificing teacher was about to retire next year, but her passion for teaching that went beyond nationalism inspired her to teach her student outdoor because of having no smartphone to attend online classes outdoor.

The dedicated teacher said of her student, "I thought that due to the lack of proper access to education, this girl might also fail the summer exams, and I did not want to be indifferent to this issue."

"I tried to hold a remedial class for her in the presence of her mother and her two younger brothers at school, but it didn't work and after two meetings we decided to continue the training in a small park in the Piroozi neighborhood," she added.

In social media, people reacted to her death and paid homage to the teacher calling her a "National Heroine" and "self-sacrificing mentor"
